This is La. She never goes anywhere without her music, and she dreams of one day becoming a great composer. One day she falls asleep in the train station and wakes up to find that she’s been transported to a strange new world. The trains become music notes traveling along the measures that were once old, rusty train tracks. As she explores this musical world in wonder, she desires more and more to stay. As the train slows to stop in front of her, she hesitates to get on and let the music carry her away.

For her design, I played a lot with the idea of using musical notes as the overall shape of her form. Something about them is also very free and wispy, while also seeming a bit fragile. That fragility translates well into La’s character, as I imagine she’s very shy about her passion for music.
